CONTACT THE COUNCIL.
If you have a proposal, a request, or otherwise wish to draw the Council of Magi's attention to something in an official capacity - please do so in writing below. | ||

Councillor Proposal
Many mages in the Inquisition do not recognize the authority of this Council.
As incentive for them, as well as the protection of those already under the Council's authority, I propose that we make a list of the rights and protections we guarantee to those who trust us so much that they have given us authority, to be made known to all.
This may require collaboration with, or at least approval from, the Inquisition's leaders.
Perhaps with these rights we promise to uphold, we can further unify the divided mages of the Inquisition.

I am writing to test the temperature after Knight Commander's Savauterre's latest message to the Inquisition. I realize that his religious passion may have gotten the best of him. I wish to ensure that you are still comfortable working with him on matters of a Templar and Mage matters, and nothing to do with religious beliefs. Clearly we all hold different faiths - but I am willing to respect yours if ours are respected in kind. This should not hinder us protecting and defending the Inquisition as one.
Please feel free to reach out to me with any concerns you might have, and I will bring them to the New Templar Order.
Thank you for your time,
Knight Commander James Norrington.

Firstly we wish to thank you for your thoughtful outreach. Your consideration is heartening and appreciated much by the Council.
On the subject you address, while we would not presume to dictate appointments made by your order (nor do we wish to), it is our feeling that we would work well liaising with you yourself, and if that is an option, it is certainly our preference. If you wish to discuss further, please feel free to contact any of us. I would be glad to make myself available.
Sincerely,
Lady Benevenuta Thevenet,
representing the Inquisition Council of Magi

... I seriously misspelled esteemed i should be beaten.
I will have to speak with the rest of the Order about changing our representative, and thus will need to call a meeting once I have returned from Emprise du Lion. This meeting will be open to the public, so you will know of any changes in our representation immediately. I invite you all to attend, and to know we are keeping no secrets.
I wish to also state the first meeting was kept secret as we were striving to become cohesive on our foundation, and in no way reflected any sort of nefarious planning. We are building from the ground up, and I hope we will be given time to do so.
On further matters, I shall be at your disposal, Lady Benevenuta.
Sincerely,
James Norrington
Knight Commander

A Concern (slightly backdated)
Fellow Councilors,
While attending a gathering of rifters, I was made aware of a disturbing incident soon after the first wave's arrival. One of them, a woman by the name of Lenneth, spoke of two Knight-Commanders and how they preformed their rites on her to prove that she was not a demon. She volunteered for this, but the fact remains that Baratheon and Sauveterre assumed authority they did not have, and one of them still remains among us. In light of the rift incident and increased tension directed at those who bear shards through no fault of their own, I believe it especially important to ensure their rights and dignity. Treatment such as the above sets a terrible precedent, and can't be allowed to repeat itself.
If you have any questions, you know how to reach me.
Sincerely,
Korrin Ataash, Councilor

In light of the recent revelation that Anders of Kirkwall has been living among us, I feel I must make a plea that something is done about his access to patients. Yes, he has been healing patients and to my knowledge has caused no harm, but that is small conciliation after what he has done and the fact that he is a known abomination. As someone training to become a Spirit Healer, I well know the risks involved, but to open his body as a host to a spirit means he cannot and should not be trusted. What is to stop him from slaughtering mages in their beds and planting evidence that a Templar did it to start a war right within the Inquisition? What is to stop him from murdering a Templar patient and claiming they simply could not be healed? I do not trust the Wardens to always keep eyes on him to keep people here safe.
I know I am just one voice, and so I appeal to you all to see if anything can be done and restrictions placed on him. This public announcement that he will "pursue atonement" says nothing of what his role will be within the Inquisition, and if he thinks to heal patients unchecked, I must protest as I am able. Perhaps we can write a petition to insist he set up his own healing tent away from the others, and that he be required to give patients full knowledge of who and what he is beforehand. When I think of the patients who were duped into being healed by someone who destroyed so many lives, it sickens me. Please say that this Council can put forth ideas to restrict his access to patients, as I fear for them, and the Inquisition, if he is allowed to "atone" unchecked and unsupervised.
Thank you for your time,
Christine Delacroix
A private note
Korrin
ota;
Since the cat is well and truly out of the bag regarding Anders being present in Skyhold, I have a concern I wish to voice regarding the younger mages present. I understand that the man in question does not hold a seat on the mage council, as well as being the 'responsibility' of the Wardens, however, word spreads. There are those of you who must know just how large small ears are. There was an abomination before and now one is within our midst again, though this time he is granted freedoms that he might not become some sort of martyr.
I wish to know that he will be kept as far from the young mages as possible. They are all impressionable, and no matter our own personal stances, we should all take care not to cast a shadow over their lives, least of all him. Dissent in the ranks regarding this matter is inevitable, not only within the mages or the Templars but within the Inquisition itself. I do not ask for the young to be entirely shielded, to be kept in the dark, ignorant of this for they will hear of it. Only that they are not in contact with him or kept safe and free of whatever might be howled of in the aftermath.

He wished to learn shapeshifting. Leliana is aware of this but I would keep it between the three of us for now, should I learn it has become a reality? I shall keep both of you informed.

Fellow Councilors,
I wish to inform you personally of my order's harbourment of Anders of Kirkwall. The Grey Wardens have taken responsibility for him, as he was once one of our number. This is not a decision we have made lightly, and though we take him back into our order, his actions are his own. It is our collective aim that he continue his sentence placed upon him in the aftermath of his actions in Kirkwall by its Champion, Marian Hawke.
However, we understand that this is a matter that is deeply personal to many of the mages of the Inquisition and those of the Council itself. Should you wish to speak with one of our number in regards to our decision (be it assurances or a grievance), I, Sabriel Abhorsen, liaison between the Council and the Wardens, am willing to answer or put them forward to my Order on your behalf.
Warden Nathaniel Howe is willing to speak with the Council as length to answer the questions you may have should the need arise, or as desired.
With your understanding,
Sabriel Abhorsen, Grey Warden

Good day. I am writing to you to offer a partnership.
I have recently made inroads with Lady Josephine and with various visiting nobility in Skyhold to help me fund the building of housing for the refugees -- and I was also working to see if I could build barracks as well. I learned from Seeker Pentergast that you are already spearheading not only clearing land for a similar project, but would be able to greatly increase the speed of construction.
I would like to ask if we might work on this together - you with your incredible abilities, and I with the funds and man-power to construct huts for the refugees and as you have already put forth to the Advisors, barracks for the soldiers. I think that with our combined efforts and connections, we could have these structures built before the first serious spring storms come through this area.
Please let me know if this is equitable, and I'll be more than happy to share what I have with you in this joint endeavor.
Many kind regards,
Katniss Everdeen

I would like to request a meeting with your leaders to discuss the state of some of your recent research. I believe it may be of import to the Inquisition.
Seeker Cassandra Pentaghast
benny thinks they should have leaders too
As the Council in its present form works jointly rather than deferring to internal leadership, perhaps it would be more expedient to know what research it is that we have hit upon to aid the Inquisition? I would be more than glad to arrange a meeting for you with those among us who are most familiar with the work you seek.

I see.
The Inquisition is interested in learning more of the Council's training in resisting demonic possession. Please arrange a meeting with your experts as soon as possible.
I trust in your discretion and expediency in this matter.
